Hello there! I’m Melania Badosa, a freelance illustrator and comic artist based in Barcelona.

I always love to draw my own universe since I was a child. The first time I saw a book with my illustrations in a bookstore I realized that was the only thing I wanted to do in my whole life.

Rock music, cats and spooky stuff are my other passions and I like to add these elements to my illustrations whenever possible.

During this time, I’ve worked for some publishers like Penguin Random House, Simon & Schuster, editorial Planeta and Hinkler Australia, as well as illustrating for independent publications and comic books. 

I use to work digitally for the infinite possibilities it gives, but my studio is full of sketchbooks and I go with pencils and watercolours whenever I can.
